Description
Enhanced photograph of refracted light from the dark red and purple roots of an alder tree on the bottom of a clear, flowing stream. Alder trees have a symbiotic relationship with nitrogen-fixing bacteria. The bacteria feed on the deep red substance produced in the roots of Alders, while the bacteria provide nitrogen for the fast growth of the trees.
Since clean, clear water is essential to all life, I try to feature it's unique beauty in a new and powerful way.
